Sean "Seany D" Davis born 1979 Westside Indianapolis. Grew up with less but never needed more than he had. Sweat pants in school never owned a pair of Jordans till I was 18. Had a job since I was 10. Paper Routes and Mowing lawns I always knew a way to bring in money. I payed for my own drivers ed cash. Divorced home didnt provide enough money for me and my brother, and college was an option but cant help you immediately so I always kept working. Music always infatuated me and I do honestly believe I was born with "The Ear" I've been told I have. Pops always had the newest hifi listening equipement which led me to being a music connoisseur as well. In high school I ventured into car audio and began experimenting with different setups and sources. Always got great grades in school because I payed attention while everyone else talked and passed notes. Poetry led to rhymes and freestyling with my homies at the fence. Buddy found a keyboard and I crosswired it into my house reciever. Another buddy brought over some cheap beat machine and I spliced the wires to get both into the reciever and added earphones wired backwards to run as microphones. Ive continued my experimenting and pushing the envelope ever since. Took a few piano lessons, coupled with a few guitar lessons, ontop of a couple years of choir class and a few instructions on favorite gear of the industry and practiced continuously thru today. My favorite genres include Motown, Soul, Classic Rock, Alternative Rock, Classic R&B, Classic Country, Pop, Hip-Hop, Rap, Gangsta Rap, Boom Bap, Back Pack, and New Age Rock. I have produced records touching these genres either directly or/nor indirectly. My favorite equipment includes, Akai MPC2000xl, Korg Triton, Yamaha Motif, Roland Fantom, Technincs1200, and all live instruments with no bias toward any one. My favorite software includes Propellerhead Reason, Digidesign Pro Tools, Cakewalk Sonar, Waves Mercury Bundle, Image-Line FL Studio and all different plugins and effects dependent upon song requirements. I love all music but im a sucker for good writing and chord progressions. Turn the channel as soon as I hear weak writing in any genre.
