ARTIST SUMMARY Genres: Christian/Gospel / Christian Rock / Heavy Rock/MetalLabel: Sticky, None YetManagement: Position is Open ARTIST BIO Interview replay on 12/3/2010 ... http://www.tinyurl.com/redlar Formed in the summer of 2009, we began doing songs in the sanctuary of our Church on Mondays and Tuesdays. We normally wrote each song in about 90 minutes, then practiced for another hour. We initially made some easy church sound system recordings but the equipment was too buzzy and muddy. Our Church family encouraged us to record a CD so we did. Our stats show that 1 out of 4 Preachers like our music. If they reflect Christianity in general, then we know God has us pointed in the right direction. We hope you like our form of Christian Music. PS: If you would like to perform our music, just send us a note at Septuagintlxx@gmail.com. PS2: For those of you who think this is 'devil music", keep in mind they used to say the same thing about "Southern Gospel". So get with it and reach out to a lost generation of people who want to hear God's word in their genre. MORE ABOUT SEPTUAGINTLXX Why this name? We originally called ourselves Old Testament as kind of a Joke. Dwight is 54 years old, but Erik is only 28 years old. So it didn't really fit. Erik came up with 66Books, but then we chose between GLOSSALALIA and SEPTUAGINTLXX. Erik claims to have heard God say, SEPTUAGINTLXX over and over in his head. That's what we are sticking with right now. Do you play live? We like the outdoors but Churches are ok. We would play bars and clubs if they wish...we are not prudish. Really, Christian Weddings, Church Concerts, Outdoor Outreaches. Whatever, whenever, Instant in/out of Season. How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry? Turns it back into what it used to be: Not an Industry. Would you sign a record contract with a major label? If it helps us with the great commission, why not. We don't see propagation of the Gospel and "Making a Buck" as being incompatible, however, the Gospel must come first. Our egos are not telling us: "Get signed and become a star that is worshiped". We sing for the Audience of ONE and He pays the bills. Band History: Goes like this: In the beginning, God, the Word, was made flesh and dwelt among us. This God gave up his human life to redeem those who would repent and walk upright in his truth. Then this God shows back up on the day of Pentecost and fills BELIEVERS with the Gift of the Holy Spirit. They ALL spoke with other tongues as the Spirit gave them the ability to do so. This happened to us as well. When God saw us worshiping Him with some crude instruments, He started anointing us with the 8th note to play music for Him. If other people happen to like it, great. But it was written for His ears first. That's the story. Your influences? Ummmm...Asaph and David. Really, the Spirit of Jesus. Erik says, "Perfect Circle" and "Nine Inch Nails." Dwight has no idea who these guys are. Favorite spot? With our families in the back yard bar-b-q-ing. Equipment used: This is a trade secret. Anything else...? Read Acts 2:38 then ask God to open your eyes and ears. Find a good church. Check out www.readytobefree.com
