Her earliest memory was when her parents came into her room in the middle of the night and asked “Was that you or the radio?” To which she shyly replied “The Radio.” But now the budding young artist is well over her stage fright and has grown into a talented woman of many artistic trades. She is not only a singer, but an actress, a model and a performer. She shows a high degree of professionalism in every step she takes. Shannon is a world traveler and has brought her voice and talent to many great cities. She has taken her beautiful smile and booming voice to places such Germany and The Netherlands. Those cities were lucky enough to hear the music she wrote and recorded herself. It was during her travels that Shannon’s love for music blossomed to what it is today. She realized that doing what you love is not to be compromised, but with hard work and dedication it can be extremely fulfilling and rewarding. Upon returning to the states she readmitted herself to the great HBCU of Morgan States University, there she majored in music with a concentration in vocal performance. During her matriculation at the university Shannon studied under the vocal coaching of Vincent Stringer, and under Professor Stringer’s direction she was a member of the Opera Workshop. Shannon also studied acting and played the roles of Cherubin in Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” and Gherardino in Puccini’s Gianni “Schicchi”. Also, while at Morgan, she was an active member of the world renowned Morgan State University Choir. With this ensemble she has traveled to places, such as the Bahamas, the U.S. Virgin and British Islands, and Prague, Chez Republic. Shannon is a proud member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity for Women, Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honors Society and a lifetime member of The National Honors Society. She graduated from the university in 2008. Post graduation Shannon has performed and sang in plays such a Howard G’s “Love Thy Neighbor” where she played the singing granddaughter “Honey”. Shannon also has recently performed the folk opera “Bent Twig” with The Municipal Opera Company of Baltimore at the historic Walter’s Art Gallery playing the role of Jean Marie’s Mother. Shannon’s amazing gift of voice has a unique range from tenor to soprano. Shannon is an outgoing, dedicated, innovative, and extremely professional singer/song writer and actress. She is big on teamwork and leadership and believes that “Given up ain’t something great people do!” She has recently won a single demo package and distribution through Koch Records at the 92Q Annual Music Seminar. As the winner she won the coveted spot of opener for Little Wayne at Baltimore’s First Mariner Arena. She out performed over 100 Baltimore artists and brought the house down with her powerful voice. She is the second half of the writing group WHO WROTE DAT. Her single Hollywood is currently being reviewed by Baltimore’s Music Industry. Be on the lookout for her
