"The D.R.D" is deeply rooted in the music business, in addition to being cousin of one of the greatest reggae singers of all-time, GARNET SILK, he also has many family members who are "SELECTORS" and play for sound systems around the U.S. and Caribbean. He has yet to release his own debut album worldwide and is still unsigned to a major label, but whoever gets this draft pick is signing promise. Coming from the red dirt of ST. ELIZABETH, JAMAICA to growing up in the drug-infested and gun-congested streets of PATERSON, NEW JERSEY, Sig delivers pain, love, triumph, and defeat in his lyrics, from talking about his aspirations in/out of the music industry to talking about the everyday struggles and problems we face in the world today, whether black or white, race doesn't matter, THIS YOUNG MAN IS MUSIC! His style is a sweet blend between dancehall reggae and hip-hop music plus, he writes for just about every other genre you can think of. S.I.G. is also a poet and an aspiring screen writer and actor. Sig Anthony has been on the dancehall and hip-hop entertainment scene for some time now. In 1994 he migrated to South Florida from Paterson, N.J. where he began his professional music endeavors, although he made his first professional recording in 1998 while then with local group TURBULANCE CREW and dubbed the name JUNIOR KILLER at the time, he contributed to local hits like "WHICH CREW'S BIGGER","YOU CAN NEVER PHASE ME", and "TURBULANCE CREW GOT SH!T ON LOCK" as well as solo hits like 'GLOCK 9000', 'WALK PON BADMAN CORNA', 'NEWFOUND POUND PT. 1', 'NEWFOUND POUND PT. 2', as well as others. All songs performed by S.I.G. ANTHONY are written and arranged by SIG ANTHONY (BMI) Sig Anthony is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on the new album 'THE AUTHENTIC' & The mixtape 'ONE ORDER' set for release in Spring 2009 working with various producers and artists in Jamaica and the USA. THE D.R.D is also getting more active in film work as well. Sig has recently relocated and is now based in Kingston, Jamaica where he is working with a number of well known producers to make his next project an extremely successful one.
