But SIRPAUL made a name for himself with his cross-genre remixes, which have created a loyal following with some of the world’s hottest DJ’s. His first music video “Thrust” was banned from TV due to it’s explicit images promoting safe-sex. His pop-crossover album, Switch, put him on the map, with acoustic based songs like “Carry U Home” and “I Believe.” But his 2008 break-through song “Do U,” has been his claim to fame. The single found huge success on iTunes when the video (Directed by Andreas Anastasis) was a favorite at MTV/LOGO. “Do U” wound up peaking at #3 on The Click List and was licensed as the NewNowNext Awards theme song. SIRPAUL’s music has been featured in L’Oreal’s VivePro Ad campaign and rocked the runways for Dolce & Gabanna. SIRPAUL is the President/CEO and Co-founder of Controversial Records and has written over 350 songs and has re-mixed countless others. At the age of 12, SIRPAUL began writing his own music and won his first talent show. At 16, he was a finalist on MTV’s hit show, “Lip Service”.
