2011 is a promising year looking ahead, coming off the best year of Spokane band Small Town Nation’s career so far. Sharing the stage with Bowling For Soup, Amber Pacific, Halifax, and The Ataris can be added to their already stellar lineup of signed acts. After releasing their debut album “There’s Something About Larry”, the band solidified their lineup as a five piece then wrote and recorded the follow up album “Battle Cry of the Lost Boys”. During the recording process, STN had the pleasure to work with Mike Herrera from MXPX. Herrera engineered and produced the track Carpe the Diem at Monkeytrench studios where he also did backing vocals. “MXPX is the reason I got into punk rock”, says front man Levi Steverding, “ It was a surreal and amazing experience.” Small Town Nation is furthering its fan base by reaching out through the entire Northwest. Playing in the Tri-cities, Lewiston, Seattle area, and at Warped Tour by winning the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands for Nampa, ID. With their DIY made merch and light show, STN offers what the typical “local” band cannot. An energetic live show full of fun, jokes, rockin’ songs and lots of sweat, oh and the occasional mash-up medley of themed songs which can only be pulled off by them. “Small Town Nation is by far the most entertaining local band I have ever seen”, commented Eric Young the Spokane production manager for corporate chain The Knitting Factory Concert House. “They are always a blast and provide a good laugh”.
