In the late 70's early 80's, my parents would play The Supremes, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, you name it, I heard it.Around the age of 18, I did what most would do at that age, went to block parties, chilled on the block drinking heinekens, smoking, messing with chicks on and off the block. When I wasn't hanging out with friends, I spent a lot of time watching t.v. (I love people but I admit to being antisocial at times.) Martial arts films, the samurai code,African, Hebrew,Egyptian, Asian culture, and mafia films, life experiences, all had an impact on me, so much that I adapted some of the praxis; integrity, honor and being true to myself became important to me. At 10 yrs old, my family and I (mother, father, two little sisters and little brother) moved into project housing (High bridge)in The Bronx. In my late teens I became a person that no longer wanted to fit in (I never did any way), but rather stay true to who I am. On Tebout Ave., I was raised in a house hold full of women- my grandmother, mother, and aunts. Women have always been a big influence in my life. In my past, I found it easier to make friends with females. Some guys just have a need to portray a false pride, I just never admired that. The females that I've dealt with, knew how to be genuine, and comfortable with who they were. All the songs I make about females come from those relationships. I was always the "odd one", but at the same time made me unique, and made people notice me. Making music and acting is what I like to do. I started rapping at the age of 16 with my child hood friends on the project housing steps, under the alias KIllumanati AKA Lume. We Performed at underground circuits. Trying to find my voice and who I am were those discoveraging moments I'd have with music, which caused me to disassociate myself with it for some time. I have reconnected with my love for music and found a new passion, acting. I have been in a couple of off Broadway plays and appeared on the award winning internet web series "Anyone but Me" (written by writer from 30 Rock From The Sun) , "Its Complicated" ( film, 2010) - starring Alec Baldwin and Meryl Streep -, as well as an Aids Awareness promo for the book "Three Days" by Author Ben Henson. And a web promo for "So you're an Actor Prove It?" by Author Canaan Robinson. I'm currently pursuing further acting training. My rap name was the name of my mentor who was an intilectual/ drugdealer at the time, now he is a school teacher. For me, Soul Born, symbolic to soul music. On my album: Yeah, I'm working on it now, I'm four songs away to be exact- ( 22 tracks )- untitled album to be released in 2011.
