The story begins at 2002, Ophir Yerushalmy, a song writer and producer meets Alon schwartz a lead vocalist, at a musicians chat board. Soon after, they realise that they both have the same vision - to record songs in english that will appeal to listeners around the globe. This is when Spektral was born. For few years Yerushalmy and schwartz recorded original material at Alon's living room – a.k.a. "The studio". Their gear at that time included an old computer running Reason software, a cheap mic and lots of patience. Time flew by and by 2006, after collecting lots of raw material and demos for a future album, they met Dror Gil, a sound engineer and producer who shared their vision and joined the group. Gil had a modern studio at his disposal and from that point the group started working on their debut album, polishing their existing materials and working on new songs.
