It all started in the land of Nightshade... There was a prince who reigned over a very desolate place known as The Rocky Forest. A place of barren rocks and no trees, this prince was surprisingly pompous and proud of his kingdom. A braggart to those who visited his palace, and an insulter to those who did not meet his "standards," he brought no progress to his kingdom. There was no art, no free thoughts among the people, and above all, no music. Just his industries and mining camps were all that existed within this "prosperous" kingdom. And then, a bright light came into the kingdom. A minstrel, Moqwynne, was traveling through spreading his stories through song. This had never even been heard of within the kingdom, and word spread quickly to the prince, who demanded this so-called "musician" be brought before him in the palace. Whenever Moqwynne was finally found along his path and brought to the castle, the prince was very suspicious of the intentions of this strange wanderer. Was he a spy? What was this sound he made when he tried to talk to the prince and his council? Curiousity eventually grasped and overcame the prince, and he had to know more about the life of the traveler. When Moqwynne told the prince of his travels, the stories he told, and the power of music, the prince was so enthralled by the idea of a free life on the road that he decided to sow his royal oats on a traveling voyage, with Moqwynne the Minstrel as his companion. The prince had recently received an invitation to attend a great festivity containing a feast hosted by the king of that land and a royal wine tasting, where the finest drink of the lands was to be evident. The prince of this king had invited the prince of The Rocky Forest; thus, from prince to prince, the invitation had to be honored. So the adventure had been set forward, and thus our story now truly begins. Eventually, the prince returned to his palace, which was being run by his council in his absence... He renounced his throne, gave it permanently to the hands of the council, and became a wondering minstrel like his friend Moqwynne, a noble man changed by the power of song, story, and free choices. He had become... The Gypsy Prince... These songs which you hear on this slate is a representation of the adventures of The Gypsy Prince. They are told through song, just as Moqwynne had done to the prince, and the prince is now doing to you. Cheers to you my friends, and let all walk the paths they are destined to!........
