Hailing from the depths of Bay St. Louis, MS this band has a sound not usually heard from the Deep South and has become something truly original. The group is forever expanding on their already well established core following and gathering many new loyal fans with each and every show. . Members include Chase Thoms on lead vocals/guitar, Ronnie Gardner on bass/vocals, Stephen Thoms on drums, Talmadge Allen on trumpet/vocals, and AJ Neyrey on saxophone. Don't let this five man group fool you; the sound is very tight knit with a two guitar attack seamlessly bound together by a perfectly complemented professional horn line and great vocal harmonies. StereoHype prides themselves in bringing a live show paralleled by none and at the same time keeping the music extremely tight without sacrificing the sound. Whether you see them live or hear them on recordings, you know this band is nothing but professional. . . StereoHype's do-it-yourself hard work ethic and business sense has kept them very much in demand and always on the verge of breaking through into the industry. The band self-finances every pursuit, whether it's touring, recording, selling merchandise or whatever the case may be. The band is always first and foremost. Travel has never been an obstacle for the group. In '08 Stereohype played the biggest gig of their career, CPR Fest 12 playing to a crowd of over 8,000 people with the likes of Shinedown, P.O.D., & Puddle of Mudd. Just a month later, the band played Tennessee Ska Weekend in Knoxville, TN and the Mass Ska Raid at the Masquerade in Atlanta. Then the band finished off the year playing Bayfest in Mobile,AL with many major recording artists. In '09 Stereohype released their first full length album "More Than Motion". CD Release shows were at The Hard Rock in Biloxi, MS and The House of Blues in New Orleans, respectively. The band has now played Bayfest four years consecutively. They've made necessary sacrifices to make touring possible. In 2010, the band booked and funded a 3 week summer tour spanning from Texas to Florida, up the east coast, from New York to Chicago and back down. StereoHype has no problem making themselves available within their region and beyond, bringing music to the masses. Separated for months after Hurricane Katrina, with 4 members of the band losing everything they had, the band still persevered and proved that nothing, absolutely nothing will kill their will to make music their life. Never looking back for one second, the band has charged forward establishing contacts all over the southeast and eastern U.S. making sure their presence is felt everywhere possible. The band continues to strive forward and has their sight set on the west for future endeavors. StereoHype will succeed in making their music their life.
