Straight From the Fridge makes a unique brand of music they like to call "Organized Mochic". The band started in late 2007 in Eaton Rapids, MI when Josh Pattison & Leanne Sabolish heard that Casey and Cody Martinez had recently left Sheer Daybreak. They quickly asked them to join, and they accepted. Straight From the Fridge has a sound that is unique and is both a mosaic of genres as well as a new twist on music as a whole. In early 2009, Hobbs (Acidic Death, Bastard War Children) was added as a rhythm guitarist. In the beginning of February in 2009, the band called it quits due to Casey & Cody's lack of dedication to the band. By the end of February 2009, Josh, Hobbs, & Lawnee decided to get the band back together, replacing Cody with Acidic Death drummer, Seth Clickner. Josh left the band after their debut show with the new line up, but continued to play live with the band until they found a new singer, Jory Green, in late May.
