In the early 90’s Sue began her music career by forming the popular musical group ‘Nickelfinger’. Within a couple of years she was sharing stages with names like Sylvia Tyson, Cheryl Fisher, Cindy Church and Quartette, and performed at a wide variety of clubs and festivals including the Edmonton Folk Music Festival. Since early 2005 Sue has been a formal part of the Music Ministry at the Centre for Spiritual Living in Edmonton, AB. Her passion lies in writing, recording and performing New Thought Music. She believes uplifting music helps make every day a better one! Says Dr. Dennis Merritt Jones of her recent recording ‘Take Me Home’, "Susan's music will open your heart and penetrate your soul. Not only is her voice an extraordinary powerful instrument of the Divine, but the essence of her music, her words and the manner in which she delivers the goods will move through you and lift you, and, if you are open, will heal you. As a professional musician myself I know when a musician is "Being on Purpose". This lady is doing what she was born to; write and sing. Susan's CD is one you will want to listen to over and over again -- I do." One of the cuts from Take Me Home was also nominated for a Positive Music Association Award in 2009. Sue is now back in the studio producing a new CD - keep yours eyes and ears open! She has also been actively involved in the arts since the early 90’s both as an artist and as an administrator, writes children’s stories, poetry and does photography. She volunteered for 3 years with the Artists on the Wards Program at the University of Alberta Hospital, and was a nurse in Geriatric Rehabilitation. Both of these provided opportunities to use sound and music in a clinical setting. She began to make music with people during their transition time - deep and profound work. Always interested in the arts, Sue has a diploma in Arts Administration specializing in arts marketing and publicity, and has written for numerous publications. She continues to perform and record, operates Soundtouch Services, gives private classes and workshops and accepts public speaking engagements to promote awareness of the many applications of Sound in Healing.
