Tawk Sicc Born Guyton Toliver began rapping in 5th grade at Egypt Elementary in Memphis, Tn. He has done talent shows through out his high school years. He's did artist development in Miami, Fl in 2005. He met friends/producers Souljah Cee and Sunny Dizzle in December, 2004 at a Memphisrap showcase. They began recording Holy Hip Hop together in Corinth, Mississippi in a room with a computer and a microphone. He then formed a Gospel Crunk group 'Da Hype Ministry’ at a local church and began touring across the Mid- South opening for acts like Mr. Del and Canton Jones. Guyton starred in a 2006 short film "Heal Da Hood" and also was featured on the soundtrack which premiered at Peabody Place Theater and performed at Issac Hayes before they closed. Tawk Sicc now residing in Seattle and working on Muzik Hi Way singles produced by Souljah Cee and Sunny Dizzle. His influences range from all genres like Blues, Rock, Soul, Crunk, and artists like Al Green, Willie Hutch, Threesix, Dj Squeeky, EightBall and Mjg, Elvis Presly, The Barkays, Womack and Womack to name a few. I am available for anything dealing with music and film. Guyton "Tawk Sicc" Toliver is by far one of the nicest artists to represent Memphis, Tn. His style is original not duplicated with swag and confidence. The project titled "Muzik Hi- Way produced by Beatman and Sunnyville productions will be one the tightest and hardest albums to come out of Memphis. Now residing in Seattle, Tawk Sicc explains, "How can an artist represent where they come from if they don't leave where they come from?" "I remember watching the MTV show “My Block Memphis” and seen Jazze Pha reppin.”I was like damn; you gotta leave your city to rep your city cause how else are people going to know what Memphis music is all about?” Muzik Hi Way is about being an artist on serious note and not just for the hell of it. You know making music just for personal use and for the people. That's why they go nowhere. A lot of rappers are making garbage music and I want to represent what real music sounds like through my lyrics, my style, and my sound. The city has so much history when it comes to genres and alot of artist don't think outside the box. That's why alot of them sound the same, trying to do and say what others rappers say instead of being original and really learning rap music. All listeners don't like trap rap or gangsta rap, it's time to do music people can enjoy without worrying about getting they ass shot, rob, or incarcerated. So with my music, I aim to please the ears of the listeners and refuse to give them a headache. I want the women to dance, sweat, and stay sexy at the same time. I want the homies when I get through performing to give me dap or a pound and be like "My nigga yo shit go hard!” I want to make sure I deliver every time so that's why I'm Mr. UPS, I deliver feel me mayne? Some rappers think they got it but ain't quite got it mayne. And a reason also is that down south, some people in the music game treat it like the dope game, charging niggas to much, trying to lease tracks and charging for club and radio play. Some artists go overboard buying them way into the game but where do you reap your fruits?????? Grind hard so you and your music are respected. I make good music, good hooks, good concepts, good production, and deliverance. This is the formula to your music sounding like it belongs in the industry. And don't forget about the business side getting copyrights, publishing, promoting, etc... Confidence has no budget and you really got to have hot shit so here I am Mr. UPS, aka Big Memph, bka Tawk Sicc. So check out www.memphis.com/tawksicc and leave comments message and all that. I love Memphis and the whole south so I represent for them people who love good music.
