The hard driving rhythms combine with singable melodies to stick with you long after the first listen. Acoustic versions of these songs have met a warm reception, with full band gigs right around the corner.
Songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist Stephanie Logan moved to New York City in 2005, armed with a degree in Music Technology and aspirations to become a recording engineer. Night after night as a studio intern, however, she found herself wanting to be on the other side of the glass. Stephanie ultimately set about to see her own visions realized.
The Audible Dark was born, combining the power vocals of Paramore with the lyrical sensibilities of Dashboard Confessional. The melodies are instantly memorable, and the sentiments are deeply felt and universal.
With the help of Anthony “Rocky” Gallo, a producer/engineer who has worked with some of today's hottest recording artists, The Audible Dark created a two song EP that captures the essence of the band. Musicians Chad (drums) and Patrick McCarthy (bass) contributed excellent performances on “Choices You've Made,” a song about standing strong when things get tough, and the soaring, hook-driven “Where is the Rain.”
The Audible Dark has already begun work on the next EP, slated to be released in early 2011. In the meantime, look for shows throughout New York in the coming weeks and months!
