More contemporarily, The Grenettes enjoy and are considerably influenced by The Black Keys.
This specific sound is evident, especially in their latest songs. They maintain a raw, bluesy edge without losing their ability to rock. The Grenettes consist of Ian Steele on drums, Zach Drollinger on guitar, Oliver Smith on bass, and front man, Bobby Minkewicz on vocals, guitar, harp, and sax.
This band has given a number live performances, portraying their funky sound at such venues as the Larimer Lounge, the Buffalo Rose, and the Fox. Whether it is their impressive version of “All along the Watchtower,” or one of their original songs, “Simple Jack,” the Grenettes are a band with a sound that is sure to please.
