“The Hillbilly Pirates” is a country pop, rock, and blues group that formed after singer/songwriter, Randall Mullinax signed with Tate Music Group in early 2008. This group features musicians that Randall met in his hometown of Cartersville, GA. The Hillbilly Pirates feature two brothers, Chris Fowler on guitar, Matthew Fowler on drums, along with Josh Cline on bass and Randall on vocals, “The Hillbilly Pirates” entertain clubs with originals written by Mullinax and a wide variety of cover songs that range from country to rock to adult contemporary. It isn’t rare to hear the guys play Josh Groban’s “You Raise Me Up” or The Cult’s “Fire Woman”. As an all original band, Randall Mullinax and The Hillbilly Pirates bring you a sound that they call “urban country”. You can hear this in the songs on Randall’s album “Brand New Life”. “I Breathe You In”, for example, shows a very rich and sensual R&B with an acoustic/ country flare. Tate Music Group calls their artist a “Hillbilly Michael Buble”. When you add The Hillbilly Pirates to Randall, you get a very energetic and driving show with exceptional vocals. In December 2008, Randall’s album “Brand New Life” was officially released to the public. This was a high note ending for the year. With a new album and these exceptional musicians behind him 2009 promises to be a great year.
