The HitBANGERS, a production team based in Philadelphia PA, was formed in 2007 by Chrys "Beat Man C'z" Smith. C’z, who taught himself to make beats on PlayStation’s MTV Music Generator, at the age of 15, has developed into a production monster! As frontman of The HitBANGERS, C’z has crafted a fresh, signature sound that not only appeals to extensive, diverse audiences and various artists, but also major label executives such as Mike Caren, Senior VP A&R of Atlantic Records and Rocco Valdes, Manager of T-Pain and B.O.B.
The HitBANGERS’ sound is best described as unlike anything that you’ve ever heard. With the influences of Foreigner, A Tribe Called Quest, The Pharcyde, Cameo, No Doubt, Diddy, Teddy Riley, The Neptunes, Timbaland, Swizz Beats, Quincy Jones, Outkast, and of course Dr. Dre, their production style is rather unique and distinctive! It’s reflective of C’z’s ode to take listeners on a “dynamic, emotional journey of peaks and climaxes” rather than a “simplistic loop!” Furthermore, its EXPERIMENTAL consisting of their love for New Wave, House, Techno/Trance, Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Alternative Rock, African Tribal, and Middle Eastern culture.
