Biography

Savannah and I ended up being in the same study hall (in which I'm ironically writing to you in now) last year, first semester. She was a senior, and I was a sophomore who knew very little about music. I knew how to play guitar, but not how to entertain. I knew that she could sing, but that's about it, so I decided to ask her if she'd maybe like to jam sometime in the band room during our study hall. She agreed, and from right then and there we hit it off, forming the oh so creative name, "Kyle and Savannah." For six months and roughly 40 shows that was our other alias, playing shows in Minneapolis, locally, and a few small cities around the area as well. We made it so far as putting out an E.P titled, "Here, This is For You" in early June of 2008. Once the E.P was released, that was the end of Kyle and Savannah. We put out the CD and decided to call it quits, as she was moving onto college, and the tension between us was at it's peak. Though now, almost a year after Kyle and Savannah's initial conception, we decided to get back together after failed attempts at other projects and music groups to form "The New Science." For two weeks in early November, we had concealed our identity so that no one was aware of who was making this music, and why it had become so prevalent on peoples myspace pages. With our identities now revealed, we've staged tours for Spring Break and the Summer, spanning from Colorado Springs, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Des Moines, Omaha, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, St. Louis, and Grand Rapids. We are The New Science; and this is our experiment.
