The Ongoing is an alternative band based out ofPuyallupWashington. Originally founded as a three piece by Jacob Allison, his brother Caleb Allison and long-time friend Andrew Slack, The Ongoing set out to put forth a unique sound that would appeal to all listeners. The music is influenced by many past and current musicians but is ultimately comprised of the member’s individual styles and contributions. After establishing a local fan base and performing regularly The Ongoing set out on a mission to create their first album. Many long months of writing, recording, mixing and producing with a great amount of support from family, friends and fans led to their album entitled ‘Infinity’ which is available on iTunes and other online locations. After a successful release they quickly realized that their ambitions constructed from the album required the addition of a fourth man which is when Zac Bates was added to help fill the void. After this addition the band has set out to gain a network of support and fans with the goal of spreading their love and passion for music through attention grabbing interludes and lyrics. While The Ongoing is not a Christian band all of its members have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ which tends to influence the musical elements and themes. All four members believe that it is their calling to reach out to others through their music. From soft ballads to dance –ready music, The Ongoing has created a sound that is sure to please audiences of all styles and ages.
