The Otherwise is a four piece band out of Durban, South Africa. They released their debut album She Doesn’t Care, She Wants to Dance in July 2010, subsequently securing a national distribution deal with Look and Listen stores. They’re debut single “Can I Kiss You” has been playlisted on campus radio stations all over the country (including TUKSFM, UJFM, MFM and KOVSIE FM) and also made it to Number 1 on Jon Savage’s Local Rock Chart on 5fm. The band has played on some of the biggest stages in the country including Splashy Fen and Thornfest. They’ve performed with such luminaries as Shaun Morgan , Fokofpolisiekar, Van Coke Kartel, Taxi Violence, Aking, Straatligkinders, CrashCarBurn, Stealing Love Jones, Prime Circle, Cassette, Wrestlerish and many more.
They have recently completed shooting the video for “Can I Kiss You” and are soon to embark on an extensive national tour.
