The Pete Walter Band are an international coalition of musicians dedicated to creating and performing slices of radio friendly uplifiting pop/rock. The Pete Walter Band are an international coalition of musicians dedicated to creating and performing slices of radio friendly uplifiting pop/rock. As Rhythm magazine recently put it ‘think Paolo Nutini and Jamie Cullum but better than both’. Formed by singer/songwriter Pete Walter in 2009, the band has been playing live in the UK ever since. Thanks to the wonders of the internet they’ve also built an international fan base with fans from all over the world. The band have recently recorded their debut singles – ‘Troubling Me’ and ‘Ache in My Heart’. Both tracks were produced by Dan Brown (Fiction Plane, Lemar) and Jamie Johnson (Razorlight, Paul Weller) and recorded in Phil Manzanera’s (Roxy Music) private London studio. A UK tour to promote the singles is scheduled for late September, with an album and follow up tour planned for late 2010. The band are keen embracers of new media and feature a bi-weekly video show that they distribute as a free podcast on itunes and feature on the front page of their website www.thepetewalterband.com. The show features live performances, interviews, behind the scenes footage and fun little Adam and Joe-esque features like Rock Anagrams. The website also features an interactive map where fans can add their global location alongside records of where the band played and little pieces of band trivia.
