From Mexico City, Mexico, Javier Martinez, who's stage name is Shadow 3-15, is becoming known in his town and is slowly emerging. His music interest didn't start growing until he was Ten years old. He recalls the first song he ever heard from the Hip-Hop scene, "Buy U A Drank by T-Pain. I remember singing that all the time" says Javier. Although he didn't start writing lyrics Four years later, he was keeping busy by attending school and always listening to music on his spare time. His first time performing, he sang on public buses in his city; "My mom says I'd sing La Cucaracha and people riding on the bus would leave small tips", Javier laughs. "But my first actual performance wasn't until I was Eight. I sang a Japanese song at an assembly at my school. [ I ] guess you could say I haven't had stage fright for a while" Javier jokes. His latest performance was at the end of the Eighth grade at an assembly. He performed for an audience of approximately 750 students plus teachers and parents and family members that also attended. "I first began recording at the end of the Eighth grade," says Javier, "Really cheap equipment. [Laughs]. I remember one time I had to work with a computer headset with a small microphone and a protective pad on the microphone as the filter and had to use a rubber band to keep the pad around it'. Javier postponed recording until his skills improved and voice deepened. He kept writing throughout the Ninth grade while he also attended Mixed Martial Arts classes. His fighting record is (36-4-1). He then decided it was time to get back on the original routine: Hip-Hop. He began recording with local rapper, Avi, known as DJ Knu, and his rapping crew, Knu School Entertainment. "Rapping with K.S.E. definitely allowed me practice my skills and provided me with the much more needed tools for recording," Javier explains, "Though I'd have little time, (K.S.E. member) HG $wagg and I recorded some hits, like "Ballin'" and "Better Than That". Good times, yo". He is focusing and determined on recording more and getting his music out there furthermore. "Soon as I get enough songs that are worth something, I'll start selling CDs; I dream of becoming a sucessful rapper," Javier says. For now, Javier will be attending school, working, attending Mixed Martial Arts classes, and making time for his passion; music.
