In the fall of 2009 Ernie Emerson Jr., drummer of the Baltimore based band The Frauds, moved to Pittsburgh. His brother and bassist of The Frauds, Eric Emerson, was already a resident. After some time adjusting it wasn't long before Ernie and Eric decided to start writing new material for a new project. They came across a young buck guitarist by the name of Mike Cardamone. In the fall of 2009 Ernie Emerson Jr., drummer of the Baltimore based band The Frauds, moved to Pittsburgh. His brother and bassist of The Frauds, Eric Emerson, was already a resident. After some time adjusting it wasn't long before Ernie and Eric decided to start writing new material for a new project. They came across a young buck guitarist by the name of Mike Cardamone. Shortly after Rick Bowman from the Frauds came to visit to work on new Frauds material and during his stay he reintroduced Bill Krowinski, guitarist from the Baltimore based band Heyfield, to Eric. There was some quick mention of getting together however it didn't quite materialize until summer of 2010. Now moving into the fall a new band has been formed going by the name of The Velcro Shoes.
