Joshua Davis is the CEO of Black City Hustla Records LLC and also anAmerican musician. Tone (Tony Tone Montana)is named after the infamousfictional character from the movie “Scarface”. Tony Montana (Later inhis career adds Tone to his name) presents to the music industry is aunique southern style that produces a form of cocaine to the ears, that keeps his “feins” (fans) asking for more of his product. Eventhough both Tony Montana s’ are different, they both sharedsimilarities, to be bosses and also to own the world.Raised in Louisiana in his earlier days, Tone hung with a few friendswho composed music. Tone's friends would always ask him to be the"hype man" of every song they made. Eventually he realized that he hadthe skills to rap. Even though Tone love to do music as a hobby, healso used music as a way to release his inner thoughts in a positiveway. Tone knew that he couldn’t afford to record music in aprofessional music studio, so he started to take notes on how to ownhis own studio and be his own boss of a label.Later on at the age of fifteen, Tone and his family moved to BrooklynPark, Minnesota, that is where he started to take his music to a moreserious level. Tone created a buzz for his name by using some of hisnetworking and hustling skills that he had learned, while he was backhome in Louisiana. During the time of him getting adjusted toMinnesota, he started to have troubles with group members and personalproblems; however that didn’t stop his grind or his love that he hadfor music, it only pushed him harder to grind. While Tone was networking with a few of the local artist in the TwinCity area, he ran across another musician with the same interest ashim, by the name of “Stack Juice” (Yung Bodie). That’s when Tonebecame an artist under the Black City Hustlaz (BCH) name. Tone workedextra hard to make sure that he was being heard and to make sure theBCH name was known all over the Brooklyn Park area. He later becamethe “King of Brooklyn Park” and also was giving second in command onthe BCH team. While working on new songs for his untitled mix-tape, Bodie started tohave issues with the fact that people always thought of Tone as the“real leader “of BCH. Bodie didn’t want Tone to have more power thanhim so later on that year of 2008; he gave the BCH name to Tone andwent his separate way.In the process of starting his new label, Tone came across numerous ofmusicians, some who were serious and some who only wanted to use himfor studio time. It stressed him out but only made him to start on anew task which was, teaching him how to make beats. He already hadAdobe Photo shop experience from high school. It was win situationbecause he would be able to buy that studio equipment that he has beenlooking for, by selling graphics or even beats he made.In the year of 2009, Tone begins to work on an album that would changehis style of rapping, and also the way he grinds “B.E.S.T.” (Whichstands for Blood, Energy, Sweat, Tears) with the help of his mentor(E.I.), Tone started to perfect his sound even more. B.E.S.T. pushedover 9000 plus units on the street and on the internet combined, Tonehave more than twenty previous mix-tapes from the past, but call themall his “artist development “mix-tapes. While working on his nextmix-tape "Verbal Tantrum" he started to network with a few othermusicians Streetz and Junior (Deadly Boyz Affiliated). Tone and D.B.A.did collaboration on his next single called "Get Crunk". The song didwell, it pushed over 100,000 downloads on the internet alone. In conclusion Tone has dropped many more albums as time passed. Healso found those special artists he has been looking for. Tone hasgiven a lot of artist opportunities to show their craft, by startingup an artist development class “Hustle or Starve” and also opening hisstudio to the public to use.
