Veneno y Amora, both from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico have grown to become one of the upcoming urban duos to hit cities in California with their reggaeton fused with some pop and electro vibes. Edwin “Veneno” began his artistic career at the age of 15 as lead singer and guitarist for a Metalica tribute band “After Shock” performing at local pubs and clubs in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Rene “Amora”, felt passion for the arts in high school writing poetry where he developed his writing skills and began free styling with neighborhood friends. In their early twenties, these two had lost contact with each other and ventured to the unknown leaving their homes in Puerto Rico and arriving in California. Veneno enlisted in the United States Air Force in 2006 and has been stationed in Northern California at Travis Air Force Based working as an aircraft mechanic. Amora also in California attended college at the Los Angeles Recording School in Hollywood to follow his dream of being in the music industry and graduated as a recording engineer. Not knowing that they were both in California, Veneno reunited with Amora through Myspace and have worked together for the past 4 years creating songs and mixing individual styles to what has now become Veneno y Amora. Veneno y Amora also have their own music company named “Shangai Musik,” individually engineering and producing their own songs using beats from local beat makers found on the web. Living six hours from each other, they have mastered the art of mixing, producing, writing and engineering using the Internet and music programs to develop the songs you hear now. In August 2008, they recorded their first video of their hit song “Digan Si Estan Ready” in Las Vegas Nevada leaving no boundaries for what these two can accomplish. In early 2009, Veneno y Amora collaborated with a local upcoming duo Los Afuegoteros who invited them to perform at a cultural festival in Los Angeles. This lead to many more performances in Los Angeles and promotion of their music through LARADIOTV.com with “Con Todo Con El Mono”, an internationally aired online radio show and recently performing in clubs around the San Francisco area with Dj Dominicano. Veneno y Amora have dedicated hard work and passion into their music, which up to this day have compiled over 50 songs including several collaborations with other local artist such as Klaciko, Los Afuegoteros, Guanaco, and Maury. This duo is dedicated to becoming one of the hottest Latin urban artists to come out of Puerto Rico hitting the West Coast and the world.
