XILEHOM BIO XILEHOM could be best described as a progressive pop rock songwriting collective. The songs are written and arranged by Wen and Denny Presley. Wen moved from London, Ontario in 2006 to pursue a career in music and in the process met Denny in Nashville who was hired to help arrange a monstrous stack of 150-200 fully written songs written by Wen in less than one year. In the process a distinct sound and collaborative songwriting partnership was honed and fine tuned into a unique style which staunchly refuses to be classified. Soon after discovering their sound the two embarked upon the daunting task of finding a group of individuals who could help bring it to light. They hit paydirt off the bat by finding cellist Deidre Emerson. Classically trained as well as having an ear for pop rock, Deidre got the material right away and added her distinct haunting cello parts allowing the three to begin playing various showcases and writer's nights to great response. Though satisfied with the acoustic trio format, the three found that the material was calling for a full band. Denny enlisted his old friend and sought after drummer, Ken Stanley. Hailing from San Francisco, Ken has played with a plethora of artists from California and Nashville. Bringing a thunderous drum sound while remaining tasteful and dynamic, Ken is an integral member of the collective. After trying out a handful of bass players Ken Stanley suggested his friend from California, Jane Sentner, would be perfect for the job. Jane fell right in having played with Ken at various times throughout their careers, providing a deliciously tight rhythm section. Jane masterfully provides a solid low end while tastefully dancing melodically along the nether regions of the fretboard where only the brave dare to tread. Xilehom's first album, "Light Years", was released in December 2010 and the band is wrapping up recording for their second album, "Earthling", set to be released in the fall of 2010. "Light Years" is available at cd baby, i tunes, amazon and several other worldwide digital outlets.
