Jarrel Adarris Turrentine (better known by stage name “Yungsta”) was born in Compton,CA April 30, 1989. Raised by his mother, Aretha Monique Turrentine until he was 3 years old.Then moving to Durham, NC., living with his Grandmother. Later found himself living with his uncle. Went back to Cali at 9 years old until the age of 12. Before he made his way back to North Carolina, his brother was murdered by a rival Crip member. By him being his younger brother, that left a question mark over his head. So his mother thought that it would be better for him to go back to North Carolina with his uncle. Who then raised him until the age of 15. Yungsta then moved back with Grandmother while he was holding a part-time job at McDonalds. Soon quiting to run in a local 9-Tre Blood gang. Already banging Neighborhood Piru from California. Soon went to jail for breaking & entering, & larceny. Did his time until released. Later returned to jail for violation of probation of the same charge. Now at the age of 19, he has made better decisions. Starting up his own independent label, Fresh Entertainment. Which consist of artist himself, A’Jukkz, & S’Jay who is also a repusentive of Raw Footage, founded by Durham’s vet Universal. May 20,2008 he released his very first mixtape “The Remedy Vol.1”. Now with "Rumors" out of the way, released June 20, 2008. Yungsta is right back on his grind, with "My Throne"(album), & "Unexpected"(mix-tape) which will be a mix-tape done by him & fellow Fresh Entertainment mate, S'Jay. With no release date set, Yungsta & S. Jizzle asures you straight fire & bangers for everyone.
