At the age of two from a miner argument his mother quickly left the house leaving him and his older brother Antonio with their grandmother. At the age of two she adopted her two grandkids. He quotes “ Growing up without a mother around really doesn’t bother me because, I really never knew her and never got the time to connect with her. But being thankful to have my grandmother to step up and take care of her grandchildren is a blessing because, you can see in the world where if it was another child or situation it would have been different”. As a young child in elementary school he was a good student as teacher’s quoted. He later attended RELC 113 in the 6th grade until the 8th. In that time he was dealing with problems, also the loss of his Great Grandmother. In that time his grades started to go down, and he started to change. He became to start drug dealing at the age of 12. Because, it really didn’t matter to him he would come in the house later and later everyday. His grandmother and others started to see the change in him. They believed he became apart of a infamous gang. When they asked him he didn’t bother to answer. Later on the line he started to get into a lot of altercations in and outside of school. Eventually he later on got kicked out of a school because a brawl in a local part with a bunch of high school kids and a couple of his friends. When it got back to the school the principle and others decided not to let the young men walk down the isle in their graduation or to attend their prom or senior trip. In that time when he was not in school he began to start writing music even though he was already into it he said, “ I don’t think I’m a freestyle rapper, a lot of niggas get into the game just to make a name. I believe in my heart the reason why I do this is the please the people, along side myself. it’s a good feeling to have others look up to you knowing that your going to make it. Sometimes it takes time for people to come out.” From then he started to talk to his neighbor Randy Witherspoon who is CEO of the Indie label MoppTopp Records. Everyday he would come to Randy about different ideas, and how he was so serious about doing music. Tory sooner found out that he was moving down south. So he never got a chance to sign a deal with the label. When he got home he sat down with his aunt, and they started talking about moving. He said, “ damn, why do we have to move. Everything was getting all good. I got accepted to the high school that was my first pick and that would help me for my career in my Record Label and Clothing line.” When he moved to Greenville, North Carolina going into the 2nd month he’d been there. His grandmother told him that the local and biggest radio station in the Eastern part of North Carolina was going to be at a store the following day. When they arrived at the tent where the station was. He met a DJ that goes by the name of DJ Supreme. He asked Supreme how he started to get into music. They began to talk and talk more about it. As Tory began to leave Supreme called him back and gave him his card. He told him to call him if he was really serious, and later on he did. Supreme then asked him if he wanted to be his Intern at the station. From then Tory began to work and follow the steps of Supreme. Next he said his major goals right now is to get a deal first, get the money to start his Record Label, then start his clothing line.
