Description
This is a song I wrote a while back that the Ruby Pines covered on their new EP. Moorea Masa (American Idol) and Michael Backus make up the Ruby Pines. I am singing bass in the backup choir.
Lyrics
I got no food to eat, I got no cupboard to fill, I got no conversation cause I got no drink to spill, I got no drug that I found that could cure how I am ill. I got no friendly direction but the lord. I got no good ideas, that was good ones in the end, I got no stiff moral I couldn't find a way to bend I got no bad decision that i could now defend. I got no friendly direction but the Lord. Chorus: Jesus if you'll have me, you would be my only friend, I don't know if you are real or not , but I'm willing to pretend. I just grown to tired to fight these voices in my head, But I can try to live like how you said. I got no frustration, that was ever justified I got no hurt feeling cause I've all run out of pride, i got no good tools to fix what's broken up inside, I got no friendly direction but the Lord. I found no misery, that would want my company, I got nothin I could teach you , but how you shouldn't be, My life ain't worth the debt to all the sins that set me free. I got no friendly direction but the lord. Chorus: Jesus if you'll have me, you would be my only friend, I don't know if you are real or not , but I'm willing to pretend. I just grown to tired to fight these voices in my head, But I can try to live like how you said. I got nowhere I could run to where I wouldn't be waiting there, I get no one's attention well unless you stop to stare, I got no way to unload all the burdens that I bear, I got no friendly direction but the Lord.
