Boo Boo Cousins is a singer, songwriter, musician and producer from the city of New York. Mr. Cousins has been making waves in New York and throughout the Northeast. Layering a unique blend of live instruments and cutting edge music technology, Mr. Cousins has pioneered a sound all his own. His music can be described as an eclectic mix of soul, hip hop and rock. Equally comfortable onstage and in the recording studio, Mr. Cousins has always surrounded himself with a stellar lineup of musicians. In his recordings, he usual plays the role of singer and multi-instrumentalist. He has 4 independent CD releases that include the latest 2010 title “Say Something Beautiful”, “Wet Heat” 2008, “Direct Sunlight” 2005 and “Laid Back Cool” 2002. He has had the opportunity to play at various festivals, host music residencies as well as perform at various established venues throughout New York City. These venues include: Joe’s Pub, S.O.B’s, The Remote Lounge, 92Y, Crash Mansion, CBGB’s Gallery, Pace University, The Five Spot, Solomon’s Porch, The Chocolate Monkey and Sputnik. He has had the opportunity to accompany on guitar and vocals Grammy Award Artist Ladybug Mecca (Digable Planets) and noted musician/singer Brian Jackson (Gil Scott Heron). His experience of songwriting and recording has led to writing & producing music for international clothing company Enyce, landing music in a short film featured on PBS and co-writing and mixing songs that were in the well received independent movie “Deceptive” which received great reviews at Cannes Film Festival in France and was shown in film theatres in major markets throughout the U.S. and in parts of Africa. He's also had the task of supplying production for singers and emcees. The music is available for licensing for filmmakers, directors, advertisers, television commercials, artists and multimedia presentations.
