Fredric “Fred No” Norris is a rap / hip hop artist, actor, entertainer, musician, song writer, audio engineer and producer with a lifelong passion for music. Fred No’s drive, talent, and work ethnic came naturally which has been evident since his youth. Said to have an ear for music at six weeks old, Fredric “Fred No” Norris was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, February 7, 1983, to Fredric & Diane Norris, and has 3 siblings (2 sisters / 1 brother). He played guitar, drums, and piano for fun as a toddler, and would hook up his brother’s guitar and amplifier so he could play and pretend he was in a rock group. By the time Fred No was a year in age he could clearly sing the chorus line of ZZ Top’s Sharp Dressed Man and serenade his mother with the Spanish version song of Smokey Robinson’s “Being With You.” At the age of 2, Fred No was headlined in Corpus Christi, TX, local newspaper as the “Wondering Toddler” for sneaking out the house and ride is tricycle to the local 7 11 to buy him a soda and some batteries for his Am/Fm radio, giving the police accurate directions to get him back home. Fred No would always ask his mother to buy his favorite R&B, or Rock musician tape whenever they go out on shopping sprees or just running regular errands. Also at the age of 2, Fred No would debate with his father on which side of the tape to hear on the Temptations album. As a toddler Fred No would ask his parents friends could he borrow there albums to listen to them promising to take good care of them and return it to them. By age 6 he was taking his first percussion lesson Fred No got his first job at the age of 12 as a convenience store helper and on the side he would ‘DJ’ for peers at local parties and special events of family / friends. Fred No’s early school years were filled with musical acclaims. He won first place in the sixth grade talent show & was named Most Valuable Person at Thomas Elementary. Fred No middle school and high school years were filled with nothing but musical acclaims as well, quoted from Larry T. Barnett, Sr., Principal of Lincoln Middle School, “To say that Fred was a hit with the student body would be an understatement. His ability to rap & dance was enjoyed by all.”  Fred No was raised in East St. Louis, IL, and later attended Carbondale, IL school district graduating with Medals of Honor in (rapping, dancing, drum solos, sports). Amazed by Fred No’s musical ability his step brother Ricky “Mr 28 G’s” Wiley, a well-known rapper out of East St. Louis, IL, taught Fred No how to write and rap 16 bar verses at the age of 12. Fred No continues to use the trade he has learned from his step brother on his journey to success in the music industry. Fred No moved to Houston, Texas in May 2002 to continue his education and pursue his is dreams in the world of entertainment. As Founder & CEO of Certified Rida Entertainment {CRE} in 2004, Fred No “has positioned himself and CRE to be the next biggest force to come out of the extremely competitive Houston market.” Says Raul “Dj Woo” Rodriguez, which he’s airs Fred No’s tracks on his radio program (Alternative Scream Radio/T.V.) on KPFT radio station in Houston, TX, and he’s witnessed Fred No’s performances on his cable aired T.V show. Rodriguez goes on to say, “From day one of meeting ‘Fred No’ he has proven to me that he has the qualities to make a significant contribution to the music scene, he makes some great music that will be heard all over.”  Fred No is not just a rap artist / entertainer, but he’s also a very intelligent individual earning two Associate of Applied Science Degrees majoring in Audio Engineer Recording Technology, and Music Business, from Houston Community College, and he’s currently pursuing his Bachelors in Radio/Television/Film with a minor in Business at Texas Southern University (TSU).  Quoted by Troy Jefferson, Student Life Coordinator, Houston Community College, “His musical performances have always been a big hit... Not only has Mr. Norris shown his drive for education but shown great talent with a rare level of charisma that other students have flocked to regardless of age, gender, or race.”  In recent years Fred No has toured throughout the Southern region up to the Midwest 2009-2011, Headlining and Opening show collaborating with the industry top artists such as Gudda Gudda(of young money), Slim Thug, Jhaime & Da’ Assassins, Jay-O (of EightSet) and many more. Fred No has opened a show for Lil’ Webbie (Trill Ent.) in Houston,TX, also open for Z-Ro & Lil Keke, ESG, and many more during ScrewFest..2010. Fred No has performed with "EightSet” at The Bayou Urban Music Conference in New Orleans, LA, and has performed at the Los Magnificos Custom Car & Bike Show 2009 in Houston, TX. Fred No attended & performed at the Core DJ’s Conference in Orlando, FL 2010, also in attendance & performed at the Go DJ’s Conference in Bastrop, LA in 2011, and is currently on a promo touring 2011-2012.  Fred No has been featured in a motion picture “The Man Who Came back” (2008), as Bow & Arrow Boy, alongside our very own Victor Newman(Eric Braeden) of The Young & The Restless, Billy Zane, Leonard Thomas, Ken Norton Senior, and more directed by Glen Pitre produced by Chuck Walker (1976 Olympian Boxer). Fred No has done live taping performances / interviews for Houston own T.V. Show Alternative Scream produced / directed by Raul “DJ Woo” Rodriguez. Fred No has been in different commercials such as Urban Culprit (Skate Board Company). Fred No has been featured in music video such as “Google Me I’m Famous” and many more. Fred No arrange and directed his first video titled “Do What I Wanna Do” in 2009 Fred No also directed his second video titled “Club Shut Down” and is currently working on more music videos off his album coming soon. Be sides directing music videos Fred No is also a Live Sound Engineer which as he has provided his services for Club Rack on “Toss It Up” Thursdays, various churches, and concerts.
