Could She Forgive Me

During the time I wrote You're Tears Aren't Forgotten, I tried to find a way to ask forgiveness from the woman I loved. The song: "Could She Forgive Me", portrays how I felt by having to cross a wide river without a bridge in my approaching her. I knew if I took her with me on my journey she would be convinced how I felt. And, if I was deceitful toward her, it was only because I couldn’t bear to see her cry about something that could hurt her.
