Jolanda has always had a love for the arts. Drawing, painting, sculpting, and especially singing are her passions. Growing up she would make up songs and record them on her tape recorder; singing non-stop. Later on after graduating high school, she decided to further explore her talents at the Red Deer College. Graduating with honors, she received her Fine Arts Diploma and her Music Diploma. During that time, she also performed in Las Vegas as a competitor in the U.S.A. World Showcase Competition. With approx. 100 competitors that were chosen out of half a million auditioners; she received the Super Star award. Jolanda looks at music like looking at a painting; it should convey deep emotion, be colorful and tell a story. She mixes traditional classical music with a Celtic spin. This Classical Celtic artist has been in various choirs over her lifetime. Some of her ensemble performances included singing at Choralfest in Edmonton, Alberta. She has performed in Chamber Ensembles, Thursday Live and Mostly Acoustic Recitals, hospitals, senior homes, churches, in front of friends and families; wherever opportunity lies. She has now directed herself to more solo performances. She hopes that her music will move people and bring them joy.
