Description

Lyrics written by a lady friend from years ago. Original title of her poem was "Through the Bathroom Door", I don't know who she identified with, the mother with a drug addiction or the daughter who discovers her mother is addicted to drugs. Miss Young was an alcoholic in life and had no children so I think she might identify with the young girl in her poem as maybe her mother was a drug addict and maybe that's why she drank due to emotional turmoil of a bad relationship with her mother.

(Remembering Her Love) Music by: Scott Rode 11/28/07 © Lyrics by: Bonita Young She watches me so silently This child I've grown to fear With eyes that tell a story Of a pain beyond her years It started out so simple then My secret love and me I'll shut the door and lock it tight She'll never even see (chorus) Remembering all the love she gave Until she could give no more And then mom oh so quietly Go shut the bathroom door The craving soon enveloped me so My body weak and sore I have to go in quietly And shut the bathroom door With sleeves rolled up relief in hand Cold steel against my arm Then a cry broke thru my bliss I spun around in alarm (chorus) Remembering all the love she gave Until she could give no more And then mom oh so quietly Go shut the bathroom door Her eyes were wide and open Her face was racked with pain Watching as her rival pumped His passion thru my veins And then the knowledge hit her
