Performing classic songs from the Golden Age of the American Songbook with a vocal jazz repertoire from the enduring masters of the art form-- including Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, the Gershwins, Rodgers and Hart, Harold Arlen, Cole Porter; --and songwriters from Europe and Latin America--Consuelo Velaquez, Cesar Portillo De La Luz, Ary Borroso, A.C. Jobim, Bruno Martino, and many more. Vocalist Kay Andreas brings these two traditions together with an all star ensemble of San Francisco legends. Available to perform in duo, trio, ensemble or big band. Kay Andreas of Black Olive Jazz teaches Drama at Stanford University, and is a professional actress. Her CD, Black Magic, has received airplay on the jazz station, KCSM and sells on CD Baby.
