Fear of Water is a powerful rock band based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their influences include Sevendust, Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains, many of the early 90s grunge bands, and many of today's great hard rock acts. Together, the band has just finished their new Fear of Water 2005 EP, available October 21st. The EP was recorded at Axis Studios in Milwaukee and mastered at Master Minds Productions by Grammy winning engineer Trevor Sadler. Fear of Water has a unique heavy, yet melodic style that is at the same time radio friendly and a bit off the beaten path. The members of Fear of Water have high aspirations for their music and hope to share it with as many people as possible. With years of gigging down and even more shows to come, Fear of Water is sure to be playing in your area in the very near future. Please give a few songs a listen - if you're a rock lover, you won't be disappointed. ______________________________________________________________ Fear of Water: - Regularly featured on the TV show "CORR" on the SPEED network (Season 1)! - "Brand New Speed" is the Up-To-Bat music for Milwaukee Brewer JJ Hardy, you can hear it before he bats at every home game! - Featured in commercials on the SPEED network! - Soon to be featured on NBC! - Selected as one of the top artists of 2007 to be featured on 94.1 JJO's "Locals Only" CD. - Featured on the Zippo Hot Tour's "Best of Milwaukee" CD. ___________________________________________________________________________ "Fear of Water's self-titled EP is a versatile rock record that runs the gamut from Pearl Jam grunge to Alice in Chains metal to modern edge bands like Sevendust all the way to syrupy rock'n'roll ballads. Each of this CD's six tracks all have a different attitude and power of their own. From the first track, "Can't Believe," (a solid modern rocker) to the hip groove of "Relativity," to the lilting, nearly David Gilmour-ish beginning of "In My Sleep" (which expands into a rollicking rocker of its own) and forward, "Fear of Water" covers a lot of ground, and covers it well.
