Fighting the Influence started playing music together in April of 2007, out of Fall River, Massachusetts. Since then, they have grown together as a band, both musically and as individuals. Together Fighting the Influence has become a driving force, accomplishing so much in such a short amount of time.
In September of 2007, FTI joined together with White Noise Records, and other local bands from Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island to create a compilation album, called The Scene: Recorded Remixed Reborn (available for purchase at all northeastern FYE stores). This album gave the band the opportunity to play at the acclaimed, Lupos Heartbreak Hotel, after only being together for 5 months!
Soon thereafter, the band caught the attention of local television station, F.R.E.D. Tv, which introduced the band to Producer/Director Habib Semaan, with whom the band became great friends. With Habib's vision, dedication, and FRED tv's endorsement, FTI released their first HD music video for thier single "Reach for the Moon" in September of 2008, along with thier Self Titled EP, recorded at Attic Sound Studios out of Franklin MA.
