Excitement is in the air as Nashville band Forgotten Fable plans an intimidating stage show with makeup, metal and mayhem at Wall Street this Saturday. Fairly new to the music scene, having formed in January, Forgotten Fable provides a unique experience collaborating their diverse styles of metal and theatrics. They may be new to the scene under this name, but the band members are seasoned musicians proud to embark on a heavy metal journey of spitting fire and going nuts entertaining the crowds. The music is generally just metal, but we incorporate all styles of metal," said lead guitarist Tim Gleaves. "Some hard core, some melodic metal. It's got a variety of musicianship." The atmosphere is energetic and heavy with a sense of duality within the music. What one person hears might vary from what his/her friend perceives from that very same song. And that's the way Forgotten Fable likes it. People hear music, and they adapt it to themselves and to their experiences in life," said lead singer Andrew Taylor. "It's a more positive influence on music and lyrics and just life." The larger-than-life guitar riffs, backed by serious drums and solid bass, help sharpen the edges created by the robust vocals of Taylor. While they take risks with their on-stage antics, Forgotten Fable takes their music very sincerely. Not only are they interested in reaching their fans with their sounds, but also they want to reach out and assist their fans in dealing with life's situations through music. Some of the tracks deal with situations that many believe are taboo to discuss, such as abuse or drug addictions. For some it can be a release, and to others it is a way of connecting and understanding. I would really like to just help somebody," said Taylor. "I would like to have someone hear that and to try to relieve that pain off their shoulders." The band plans to record an EP in June, but for now, they are perfectly happy to expose metal music to the masses, continuing to build a fan base and to have fun performing. Their roots are in heavy music, and that's exactly what you will get at this show. So be prepared to be rocked and entertained all night. Like the music or not, you will not leave disappointed. It's the little things they do on stage that set this band apart from all others. We're just violent on stage. We really rock out," said Taylor.
