Kristopher Lee is a laid back, down to earth guy that loves Life, Family and Music. Born and raised in West Michigan along the Lake Michigan Shoreline, he has become an avid outdoorsmen who loves to hunt and fish. Kris has always loved music and began making up songs of his own when he was just a child. As the years passed, he penned many lyrics and poems in countless notebooks that soon littered his car, lockers and every room in the house.
Influenced by many artists throughout the years, his collection of albums, cassettes and Cd's spanned all generes. In his late teens and early 20's, Kris was drawn into the strong lyrics of country music. It was the truth in the words that made him focus his writing style towards the various country genres
Kris has seen the ups, felt the downs, smacked the bottom and has yet to touch the stars! Through his life experiences, he has found a lot to write about! These days his focus is on writing commercially viable country songs that can land him cuts with major label artists but you will also notice that he writes many songs from the heart, songs that express his life, love and pain.
In September of 2006 Kris began putting together his own home studio and also began collaborating with musicians/artists that he met online. With the very first demo "Came Home To Tennessee" (Kristopher Lee/Cindy Anderson) he was hooked and knew he had to pursue his dreams.
"Came Home To Tennessee" recieved an Honorable Mention, Dec. 06, in the VH1 Song of the Year Songwriting Contest. In August and September of 2007 Kris had 2 more demos recieve "Runner Up" status for "Concrete Cowboy" and "Best Of Men". Since September of 2006 through November 2008, Kris has 35 pro demos, with many more planned in the near future
With continued growth as a writer, continued online networking through sources such as Our Stage, persistence and patience - it is only a matter of time before "Kristopher Lee" begins to land Indie and Major label album cuts
Kris would like to encourage feedback from fans and artists alike. Please feel free to comment on what you like and what you don't! Also, if you would like to collaborate on a song or two with Kris, just send a message and he will contact you
Thank you and as always God Bless...
