Founded in 2002 by Frédéric Vermette (bass), Dominic Lessard (vocal), Jonathan Hains (guitar), Simon Boudreault (drums) and Hugo Dufour (electronics) the Canadian band Neurophonic first intended to create a hybrid of electronic and metal music. Their first auto-produced mini album was released during the year 2005 and earned them the title of international band of the month by the American webzine Decoy Music. In 2006, Hugo left the band and was replaced by Olivier Neron-Bilodeau. Since then Neurophonic has evolved in the music world, playing multiple gigs, undertaking artistic research, redefining and fine tuning their style. In January 2009, they hit the studio with rising producer Luc Tellier from Montreal to record their album “Here and Now” that has been released on May 5th 2009. The album merges powerful guitar riffs with pop alternative vocals and innovative keyboards. The third single (Confirmation of Allegiance) is now spinning in radios everywhere in the east-Canadian area. Neurophonic is currently in a period of pre production for their second Album that should be released in spring 2011.
