They say nothing comes easy in life and Montreal rockers ONE will be the first to tell you this age-old expression holds true. From line-up changes, to rediscovering and reshaping their sound, to tours not always going as smoothly as they should, ONE have been through some ups and downs. Opting to use their experiences to their advantage and to empower them as a band, Danny Rossi (Vocals), Chris Staniforth (Guitar), Phil Hardy (Bass) and Rudy Occhionero (Drums) have learnt to embrace the unexpected punches the music industry has been known to deliver. Staniforth sums it up best; “The minute you fall into a frame of mind where you stop questioning things, you stop the forward motion and that can jeopardize your immediate and long-term goals.” Now, after two years of extensive touring throughout North America, and with two solid albums in their catalogue – 2007’s debut, Never Say Never, and this year’s follow-up, Dirty Valentine - ONE have never ceased to deliver honest music that echoes their travels, determination and challenges from years past. "Putting out albums in awesome, but being able to get out on the road and connect with fans is what being in a band is all about" says singer Danny Rossi The new year kicked off on a high note and saw ONE hit the road (again!), capture the hearts of a growing number of devoted fans, and win “Best Rock Song of the Year” at the Toronto Exclusive Magazine awards for the track “Today Will Last Forever.” So, they also say that things always turn around with enough determination and hard work and, once again, ONE will be the first to tell you this holds true. “Without risk or sacrifice, there is no reward in this life. This business is no different than any other; the harder you work the more results you are going to get,” commented Occhionero.
