Although it may be hard to believe, We Are They were once children! That’s right! Despite their Godliness, They were spawned right here on Earth from the good old fashion love of man and woman. These Titans of rock grew up separately and were raised to believe that they were ordinary, but their destinies would soon intertwine and they’d realize that they were far more than normal. They were abnormal.
In the late 2005’s, three of the five denizens of awesome, Ryan (Guitar), Tyler (Keys), and JG (Drums), joined an after school program started by an ambitious math teacher. The after school program was an attempt to start a school rock band and it was here that, along with many overlooked individuals, They first realized their ability to win wars and hearts alike with their beautiful melodies and eccentric stylings.
Although They were religiously followed in the small corners of Sequoia Charter School, They were incomplete. But still awesome. Luckily, They could sense those of their kind, and after a spiritual journey to the mythical and magical land of Phoenix, They recruited number four. Andrew (Bass) was able to help along the fabled sound of They, but did not yet complete the ensemble. After a year and a half of torturous training, young Markandeya (Guitar) was promoted from squire to goliath rock machine. We Are They was finally complete and soon to be unleashed upon the unsuspecting Earth.
Since that fateful day, They have traveled the United States, using their tuneful talent to rock on the pants of performance attendees and innocent bystanders alike. With diverse musical tastes ranging from classical to black metal, to hip hop and even country, They have chosen not to limit themselves to one sound, instead focusing on satisfying all of their musical urges. We Are They have been acclaimed by peasants and kings, as well as blogs and radio stations. They are currently finishing up their first full length album, which will be released with such force, that it’s expected to either rock the pants on to every single man, woman, and child, or explode. We Are They is also soon to go on another journey across the uncharted lands of North America to spread their message of love and destroy things! All the while, assembling an army of loyal subjects to help take over the government and gain control of the world. And soon, the galaxy. And soon, the universe.
