Description
A song with some personal as well as historical contexts to it; a kind of double story. Described in this story is my overcoming of a personal challenge that could have easily failed, but eventually succeeded in completing. Historically, I'm looking at primarily the story of Hitler (hence the title Drink From The Cup, as well as several other references in the song).
Lyrics
Verse 1: Braggers resist nothing more than Seven stitches closing out our wounds. From the broken glass, blood pouring, spilling Staining the concrete black to red.... Chorus: Believe it is so, your last finger hit the trigger. Blasting away the demon's soul, his last accomplice. Tarnishing the blade with which he killed millions. Curving his anticipation, killing him at once. His piercing screams emanating through, Through every last city street, he falls completely. Unaware of what has happened to him Blast from the past and we hear the circles break. Verse 2: Rebels fighting for their lives, Life, liberty and the pursuit of a goal. Realistic, yet impossible, their attempt a waste. Crushing their dreams with one final blow. Chorus: Bridge: They died in vain.
