Description

This song started out as (I'll Take Homeless In Heaven). The idea being I'll take a park bench, a grassy spot or whatever just let me in. I like the idea and I do feel that way. I would be so grateful to just get in, but that idea doesn't stand up with the teaching of Jesus who said "In my Father’s house, there are many mansions..." (And A Few Other Things. He's got a Book. you should check it out!) Jesus has gone ahead and made a place for me and you, SO the song became (I Won't Be) Homeless...

Lyrics

“HOMELESS IN HEAVEN” Words and Music by Roger D. Garrett The Lords Servant Ministries, BMI Copyright 2008 I’m told, the streets are made of solid gold And it’s never cold…when you’re close to Him There’s no rain, not even a trace of pain Only wonderful things…when you’re close to Him Bridge 1: I’ve been out in the cold, out in the rain, In constant pain, and all alone. I’ve been mad, lost everything I ever had, even my home When Jesus…made me his own. Chorus: (And now I know) I won’t be homeless, homeless in heaven I’ll never be cold, tired, hungry, or alone again. ‘Cause the King of Glory invited me, Gave me a mansion to live in…And in Heaven I know…I’ll never be homeless again. Well they say, we are made of simple dust and clay And that one day…we’ll be dust again. All I know, is where my soul is going to go When He calls my name, I’ll go to be with Him… Bridge 2: I won’t be out in the cold, out in the rain, In constant pain, or all alone. I won’t me mad, can’t lose anything I’ll ever have Especially my home…’cause Jesus…calls me His own…. Repeat Chorus
