While explaining a research project on changes that African Americans have experienced since the abolishment of slavery, Ode gets a little carried away. Fortunately most of us have never experienced the trials that many afro-americans faced back then. However, just because most of us never faced those trials doesn't mean that they don't effect us mentally, emotionally and socially. MLK/ MX era still effects us today... both positively and negatively
