Description
Little Fish is a slow number from Everything Else's second album, Some Classical Guys. The song's inspiration came from guitarist Sam Black's pet fish, Connor. Sam was looking at the fish and thinking how lonely it must be to live in that little bowl. The singing is quite emotional and heartfelt. The song also includes two soothing electric guitar solos.
Lyrics
Little fish what do you see When you swim in your tiny little bowl? Do you wonder how one lives a life like mine? Little fish do you see me When I'm home and lonely today? Do you even know that care so much for you? [chorus] Little fish, you swim in circles aimlessly Every single day And everywhere looks like somewhere new You're on your own, my friend, Learning to deal with your own world You're not very different from me Little fish, do you remember anything That happened yesterday Or is it all to you a blur? Do you have a mind to think these thoughts Or am I just insane To be asking these questions to you? [chorus] And here I am staring into this Little fish bowl Looking for the answer to life When the answer was here all along Staring me in the face Every fish has their own fish bowl Little fish, you swim in circles aimlessly Every single day And everywhere looks like somewhere new You're on your own, my friend, Learning to deal with your own world You're not too different from all of us
