Description
I am a London based singer/songwriter. This song is from my debut album Love & Decadence released on Amber Records; an autobiographical album marked with unfettered emotion and lyrical pictures. Losing Game is the only song on the album that I wrote while I stayed in New York. It is about the ever ongoing race to be successful. I did enjoy, however, hanging out with the real people of NYC who are a lot of fun. This song is for them.
Lyrics
This is the Losing Game Won’t you come back and play my darling. Smoke in the boulevard, mined with the booby traps of trying. You said its a trial from the start. You said we were meant to be stars. But whose war are we fighting? Are we fighting back? This is the losing game Won’t you come back and play my darling. There are no broken arms Here in the ancient ruins of loving. You said better keep off the grass You said it's time to grow up But whose tale are we writing? Are we writing bad? This is the losing game Won’t you come back and play my darling. Coins on the kitchen floor And all of our richer selves keep laughing. You said it’s a trial from the start. You said we were meant to be stars. But whose war are we fighting? Are we fighting back?
