Queer Saint

This is a song about a mother, Sylvia, letting her son, Eddie, "become" a girl, Lida, through clothing, makeup, etc. This poor son ends up getting in too deep with his intimate side and winds up killed. The people that killed him were two men who were involved with Eddie in a sexual manner. They do it out of trying to preserve their dignity, or lack of dignity for that matter.
