Description
This song was written from a card that was given to me long ago by a young fan. It read. "This is my desire that I might be to thee; an old song remembered in some quiet place when other songs have gone." I never forgot what that card read, and I wrote My Desire about how someone would feel who spent many years with the same person, and suddenly he or she is gone. You can only remember how it use to be.
Lyrics
My Desire This is my desire when you think of me. Think of all the good and bad And all the times we had, As it was meant to be. Yes indeed, it’s a sad, sad life we lead Left only to remember the way it use to be Yes indeed, it’s a sad, sad life we lead When there’s no one left around you to need It’s a sad, sad life indeed. This is my desire when you speak of me. Say the words straight from your heart, Though we’re far apart, Cause I’ll be listening.
