This song is about how we've laid down the things that are not of God and have begun to walk on a new path. It also addresses people that knew us before our conversion(including Satan)and who would either not want to believe that we've truly changed or would forever want to remind us of what we used to be. Trust the Word for it tells us "Let God be true and every man a liar".
